Domestic violence is a term that has unfortunately become common in our society in present times as a result of  abusive relationships.

According to National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior as part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. It includes physical violence, sexual violence, psychological violence, and emotional abuse.

Actress, Mercy Aigbe has been enmeshed in the news in the last few weeks concerning her marriage and how she had over the years been battered by her husband. Just a few days ago, a beautiful South African lady was abused and burnt to death by a man reported to be her ex-boyfriend. This is not the first time and might not be the last if deliberate actions are not taken against this.
