It has been a very eventful and successful year for budding dancehall/reggae artist, Patoranking who stole the hearts of many with his very successful single, ‘Girlie O’. The song has gone ahead to win him so many awards this year!

The remix of the hit single with Tiwa Savage firmly fixed the song as one of the best songs of the year.

It was Patoranking’s night at the  Headies 2014 awards which took place at Eko Hotel and Suites on Sunday, December 14, 2014, as he went away with the most anticipated award for the night, The next rated award category.

Clinching three awards, his second was for his collaborative effort on ‘Emergency’. The hit single earned him the Best Collabo award alongside WizzyPro, Skales and Runtown, while his third award was the Best Reggae/Dancehall category for his hit single ‘Patoranking’.

The duo of Davido and Olamide went home with two awards each.

Mavin boss Don Jazzy also went home with two awards. He and his crew won the ‘Best Pop Single’ award and he won Producer of the Year.

Fellow Mavin act Reekado Banks went home with two awards two, Best Pop Single and Rookie of the Year.
