1 Ayodele Fayose
Ayodele Fayose is the current Governor of Ekiti state in Nigeria, No politician would make a better entertaining headline in the news than this man, he’s a confident man that speaks whatever talks he wishes. The PDP governor never ceased to pick on Buhari even before he became Nigeria’s President. In 2015, Fayose had placed a bizzare advert on the front page of The Punch and Daily Sun newspapers of some northern Nigerian leaders that died in office, suggesting that Buhari, could also die in office, if elected president.
2 Lai Mohammed
Lai Mohammed is Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture is known for his strong defence of his party even when things are obviously wrong. He recently stunned Nigerians when he said the best Jollof rice is prepared in Senegal. For his outspokenness and controversial nature, he has been renamed ‘Lie’, ‘Liar’ Mohammed.
3 Femi Fani-Kayode
Former aviation minister and ex-spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Fani-Kayode is a man who is acquainted with altercation. FFK is known for his verbal attacks against APC and its leaders.
4 Senator Dino Melaye
For a parliamentarian, Dino Melaye has a totally controversial personality. First he loves very fast and fancy cars and motorbikes, and loves to flaunt them in everybody’s face. Senator Dino Melaye has been in the eye of different storms, from political issues to domestic issues and the list goes on. Only recently, he was involved in a certificate controversy which led him to release his hit song, Ajekun Iya which was the talk of the country for days.
5 Rotimi Amaechi
Ex-governor of Rivers state, and minister for transport, Rotimi Amaechi has been described as a strongman in Nigerian politics. He has remained in the news for his usual fiery exchanges with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike amd more recently when he said in an interview that he is not corrupt and that he does not like money.
6 Nasir El-Rufai
He is the incumbent governor of Kaduna State and has been involved in controversies involving his political views and style of leadership. He is known to have spearheaded the demolition of houses that violated the Abuja masterplan and also for banning motorbikes in the capital city of Abuja. In recent times as governor, he is also championing a bill to regulate religious preaching and activities in Kaduna state which generated some heat especially among the Christian community.
